Meet Dr. Andrés Guerra

Patients immediately feel at ease and in capable, caring hands when they meet Dr. Andrés E. Guerra-Andrade. An oral surgeon for over a decade, he has been serving residents in Tampa Bay for over seven years. As a full scope oral and maxillofacial surgeon, he has exceptional training and experience with dental implants, challenging extractions, single tooth restoration and full mouth rehabilitation. He has a dedicated committment to dentoalveolar procedures (problems with teeth, gum, jawbone and other bony or soft tissues of the mouth) and patients affected by pathology in the maxillofacial area, specially lip cancer.

Dr. Guerra lives in Lutz with his wife of 11 years, Denisse, and their seven-year-old daughter and five-year-old son. In his spare time he really enjoys cooking and grilling and being with his family and friends.

Dr. Andrés E. Guerra-Andrade was born in Caracas, Venezuela and attended the School of Dentistry at the Universidad Central de Venezuela where he received his doctorate degree. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery degree and his Master’s in Dental Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Science Campus.

  • He completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville, Tennessee.
  • Assistant Professor at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the University of Puerto Rico.
  • Chairman and Coordinator of the Deep Sedation course for GPR and Pediatric Dentistry Programs at the University of Puerto Rico.
